Mimbres Memorial Nursing Home is a sixty-six bed dually licensed facility approved by the State of New Mexico and certified by both Medicare and Medicaid. Our mission is to provide comprehensive, appropriate post-hospital medical and rehabilitative care for patients who have experienced trauma or severe illness, or residential care to those who are no longer able to live on their own or need care beyond that which can be provided by family members.
Through carefully planned rehabilitation, patients can recover or increase their ability to perform activities of daily living. This may involve relearning language or speech, regaining motor skills, coordination and memory, or recovering strength and stamina through good nutrition and exercise. For some patients, rehabilitation may also include the adoption of compensatory skills that will allow them to function more independently on their own.
The disciplines on our professional team along with the patient/resident/family plan the care to meet the unique needs of each patient or resident. The nursing staff provides a comprehensive patient assessment, establishes therapeutic goals, monitors patient progress and provides wound care and patient education on medications and disease processes. A registered clinical dietician evaluates and recommends appropriate nutrition.
